Message from the desk of the TIC

Berhampore College initiated its journey on the blessed day of 2nd August, 1963. Since then it has been the abode of prospective students and erudite faculties. Several accomplished students of this college are at present associated with Universities, Colleges and schools as academics and many have found recruitment in think tanks, government sectors and corporate houses. The college now offers Major courses in 10 specific disciplines with a majority of full time, well experienced faculties. There is a fully digitised library and several smart classrooms to aid the students in their learning process. The college boasts of two computer labs and a specific computer training centre to enhance the students technically. Some other basic amenities present in the college includes an affordable canteen, a large playground, separate common rooms for both boys and girls, a well equipped sick room, gymnasium, a boys’ hostel and with many air conditioned classrooms. The college endeavours to provide online services to the students in terms of admission, registration and subsequent form fill ups. In order to uphold an ambience of academic research in its premises the College has two conference rooms and a big auditorium all of which fully air conditioned. Berhampore College strives for an all round development of all the students in terms of academic and extra curriculum activities. Therefore, the College has distinguished NSS, Cultural and Sports units all of which are conducted through experienced faculties regularly. The college has been well represented in the district and State level in several cultural and sports activities winning numerous accolades thereby. Berhampore College inculcates the values of truth, honesty and hard work among its students and harnesses an atmosphere of peace and tolerance.
